To quote an often repeated phrase, “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans”<\/p>\n
After 20 years online, the old Self-Propelled City site was looking a bit dated to me. And new posts on it had slowed to a crawl. So tonight I decided to just chuck it all and start fresh with a site that will make adding content a breeze.<\/p>\n
Most of the original content will get added back somehow. I’ll figure it out. \u00a0But tonight is not the night for that. \u00a0Tonight I throw caution to the wind and start something new and try to capture some spontaneity and exuberance at the temporary expense of a well thought out plan of action.<\/p>\n
There’s so many new and positive things happening now for bicycles in cities all around the world! I want to collect links to news reports of this Bicycle Renaissance here.<\/p>\n
I’ll be talking about the explosion of interest in cargo bikes, the urban bike rental initiatives picking up steam, folding bikes on public transit, city-bike “style pioneers” like Linus and much more.<\/p>\n
